Oil Tanks

There are many important aspects to an oil tank. We help you determine if yours is in good condition, and we explain the newest options available to help extend the life of your oil tank.

Top Four Reasons Why Oil Tanks Fail:

1. Steel Thickness
2. Sludge
3. Water Condensation (Most Common Cause
of Oil Tank Failure)
4. Corrosion due to Organic Materials, Oil & Water

Important New Mass Law

Most homeowner policies do not currently include coverage for oil tank equipment upgrades. This means that many homeowners have to pay for costly cleanups out of their own pocket.
As of July 1, 2010, it became mandatory for insurance companies to make this coverage available to homeowners whose systems are upgraded. However, it is up to the homeowner to purchase this optional insurance.
